We're the ones
erasing the line

Erasing borders is, in the end, the work of people. SAZO is looking for the next one.

01Why SAZO

Borders are lines.
We erase them.

We cross borders with technology to connect the world.

Different languages, blocked payments, broken shipping. That boundary. Erasing the line looks vast, but in the end it happens in the hands of people, one at a time. Working at SAZO means erasing that line yourself.

A

Mission into work

'Zero distance to the world' becomes concrete, daily work. Not an abstraction, a problem to solve today.

B

Speed into proof

GMV +1,290% in 10 months, monthly revenue +180%. Our speed isn't a slogan. It's proven in numbers.

C

Culture into promise

The six SAZO WAY values aren't a poster on the wall. They're a promise built into how we hire, evaluate and work.

02By the numbers

The speed we built together, and the next we'll build together.

고객의 이야기를 깊이 듣는 구성원

“What the numbers hide becomes visible when you follow one customer all the way.”

CX Team
01Customer Centricity, Dive Deep

Find the real story behind the numbers

Instead of just answering an inquiry, we follow one person's experience all the way to the root cause and change the structure.

새로운 해법을 만드는 구성원

“‘That's just how it's done' is the most suspicious sentence there is.”

Engineering
02Innovative Solutions, Hack It

Question the obvious, prove a better way

We re-question what habit made fixed, and when we spot repetitive manual work we build the automation ourselves and roll it out to the whole team.

회고와 공유를 나누는 팀

“The one who shares the failure first grows the team the fastest.”

Platform Sq.
03Learn & Share, Grow Together

Failure isn't to hide, it's the next foothold

We share trial and error honestly in retros and document it for the next person, lifting the whole team.

국경을 넘어 협업하는 팀

“Difference isn't a risk, it's the opportunity we sell.”

Nagoya Office
04Global Mindset, Think Global

Cross boundaries, see difference as opportunity

Facing differences in country, language and culture, we propose localization tuned to local language and UX before anyone asks.

자율과 책임으로 일하는 구성원

“‘That's not my job' is the phrase we use least at SAZO.”

Operations
05Own SAZO, Ownership

Aim for the biggest impact, with autonomy and ownership

Beyond the task given, we coordinate our own schedule and resources and carry a problem all the way to a solution.

서로를 응원하는 팀

“One ‘yes, let's try' creates the next attempt.”

People Team
06Cheer First, Positive Energy

Cheer first, instead of watching

Before we judge, we recognize someone's attempt first. Cheering the try over the result is where the next attempt begins.

The people building SAZO

Maro Gil

Maro Gil CEO

I've been fascinated by software since childhood. After Incheon Science High School, I studied at Nagoya Institute of Technology as a Korea–Japan Government Scholarship recipient. Living in Japan, I felt firsthand how hard cross-border buying and selling is, and decided to solve the structural problems of cross-border commerce.

Dongyeop Kim

Dongyeop Kim Co-Founder

I loved games since childhood, running game servers and web/app services on my own at age nine. Before university I taught myself NLP, CV, ML, and cloud, then in my third year of college I founded SAZO, leading the early dev team and running the operating organization. Today I focus on getting the team to its next big milestone.

Gavin Jung

Gavin Jung CFO

I studied Electrical & Computer Engineering at Seoul National University and started my career by founding an IT education platform. At Samsung C&T I led corporate finance and cross-border M&A and earned the CFA. After Michigan Ross MBA I led tech/AI strategy consulting at BCG in the U.S., and at KRAFTON's U.S. office I led IPO preparation, global operations, and M&A. I then led B2B business strategy at Amazon HQ. With that finance, strategy, and global background, I'm here to build SAZO's global growth together.

Hakun Lee

Hakun Lee Tech Lead

I started my career at LG Electronics and built large-scale distributed systems at Kakao Mobility and Banksalad. I then led commerce across formats: open marketplace at TMON, influencer commerce at Beauty Selection, and cross-border K-fashion as Head of Tech at Mediquarters. As a government-scholarship student in Japan I experienced the friction of overseas shopping firsthand; now I'm solving it with technology at SAZO.

Kijun Bang

Kijun Bang Tech Lead

Over 10+ years building services at NCSOFT, I sharpened the ability to solve complex problems with technology. I pick the right tool for the situation and build it myself when needed. From architectures like MSA and CQRS to AI/LLM-based services, I've designed both structure and detail, and I'm now applying that experience at SAZO to redefine cross-border commerce.

Seokhee Hwang

Seokhee Hwang PM

I led company-wide digital transformation and process automation at NCSOFT for 13 years. I then founded a company building LLM-based chatbots and DX solutions, became convinced of the potential of domain-specific AI, and joined SAZO AI.

Junghoon Lee

Junghoon Lee Logistics Leader

A logistics strategist who understands the e-commerce floor, solving complex distribution problems through structure and operations design. I founded and ran a global fashion-focused 3PL, architected cross-border logistics for scale, and modularized logistics processes to fit each category. I see logistics not as cost but as scalable infrastructure, and I'm building SAZO's cross-border logistics from that foundation.

You sit with leadership to align direction, checking that where we're headed and where you want to go are the same.
